A well preserved example of an early Second War German Heer (Army) Panzer Officers M38 pattern overseas cap, constructed of high quality field gray wool, with fold down scallops to the front and side, the crown, and the front edges of the scalloped side panels feature embroidered silver aluminum piping, indicating the rank of Officer, the front of the cap features a machine embroidered Wehrmacht style eagle, constructed of silver thread
