Prussia, State. A Red Eagle Order, Grand Cross Star, C.1900 Archive Footnote: The Order of Military(Preuische Rote Adlerorden, Bruststern zum Grokreuz). Issued 1861 1918. An eight pointed rayed star constructed of silver gilt; the obverse with a central white enameled field depicting an enameled Brandenburg crowned eagle, surrounded by a broad blue enameled ring, inscribed SINCERE ET CONSTANTER (Latin Sincere and resistant); the reverse plain, with a vertical pinback and a functional hinge catch assembly; stamped twice with a French import mark in
