A First War period German brooch constructed from a piece of an artillery shell driving band, featuring a branch of oak leaves and acorns, the reverse hows a horizontal pinback with pin extending over the edge of the brooch, measures 28 mm (w) x 10 mm (h), with an Iron Cross suspended below, measures 11 mm (w) x 10 mm (h), and in overall near extremely fine condition.
